Paris, I love you but you're bringing me down

that was the title of a book Kelsey found in Shakespeare & Co

and it pretty accurately describes our experience with the City of Lights.

Paris is expensive.

 Really, really, reallllyyyy expensive.

And given that we all get paid in US dollars

and make minimum wage

and have to pay for everything in Euros...

we aren't rollin' in the dough.

But even though we got ripped off by the lady selling train tickets

and even though it was rainy with gale force winds the whole time

AND even though I paid 6 euro for 8 ounces of Coke...

Paris, you are beautiful 

and I still love you.
