Welcome to Fest Season!

Last week was a really German week,
and now I'm paying for it with a wicked sinus infection.
(did I just say wicked? I'm pretty sure I've never said that before)
MOVING ON...
Contracts are ending right and left around here
and as people get ready to go back to the real world
there are plenty of one-last-hurrah going away parties.
This one was for Que, who I actually didn't know that well
but he took us sledding down the bunny hill, after hours,
on one of those big crash pads that they use to protect gymnasts.
Anyways...
the party was at Gasthof Werdenfelserhof,
which you may remember as the place we had our first Schnitzel.

had my first boot of beer

 the man of the hour
the delicious spinach, cheese Schnitzel I shared with Liz

 sisters!
 Liz and me
 Kelsey and Anna
...
So the next day we went Dirndl shopping so that
we would fit in at all the cool German events.
Plus, we were planning on going to Munich
the next day for our first Beer Fest!!
Well we got our Dirndl's and we looked pretty adorable!

On the train on our way to see the Hunger Games!!!
Pre-movie Gelato
(oh yes, we wore the Dirndl's to the movie)
 Starkbier Fest!!!

Dirndl's, Lederhosen, Masses of beer and table dancing
German's really know how to party.
Auf Wiedersehn!

oh yes, there's more.

after downloading, uploading, saving, cropping, writing, rewriting...
I finally got all my Morocco posts finished and posted to the blog.
Or so I thought,
until Liz informed me that I left out a rather significant detail.
I got married in Morocco!
I am, of course, kidding, however there was a proposal, a ring
and a verbal agreement of a dowry.
As it turns out, I'm worth 100,000 camels!
So without further adieu...
(except for one last reminder that this is a joke)

well, there you have it!

Morocco Photos--Parts 2-4

part two.
The following photos were taken by our good friend Liz.
Liz arrived in Germany the same day we did
and we've been friends ever since.
We love her dearly!

part three.
this next section of photos were taken by Kristan.
Kristan also arrived the same day as us
and is not only our friend but also our roommate.

part four.
this final section of photographs was taken by our friend Kelsey.
Mallory and Kelsey actually used to work together in Seattle
but Kelsey quit because she was moving. It wasn't until
we arrived in Garmisch that Mallory realized she had moved to Germany.
Small world!!!

I hope you all enjoyed this excess of pictures!
Once I get everything uploaded to photobucket I will post the URL
so that you can check out all of them
should you feel so inclined.
Also, if you are interested I highly recommend reading
this blog post. It was written by a guy that we work with that went to Morocco
a little while after us. There's a lot of profanity but he does a really great job capturing the culture and experience of Morocco.
You can also check out Liz's blog post here.
