Hallo!!!

There were thirteen hours of flying
and zero hours of sleep
There were three movies
several repeats of an episode of 'The Office'
and a few diet cokes.
There were four bags of luggage
two carry ons and two purses.
There was a nine hour time change
but now theres a stamp on our passports
that reads Munich
and that made it all worth it.

This is our second morning waking up in Germany and we are still in absolute shock. The jetlag was just as atrocious as everyone said it would be and I did just the thing everyone said not to. At 1:30p (Germany time) after being shown to our room, I promptly fell asleep. The last couple days have been a crazy worldwind.

Day one was terrible. We arrived in Garmisch and were given room assignments and basic details of our itinerary for the next few days. Then we were left on our own. We ate gummy bears from the vending machine and went to sleep. Of course we woke up about 3a and talked until our 7a wake up call.

Day two was fantastic. We were finally taken to see the resort and it is spectacular. Tuesday we were fed both breakfast and lunch. We toured the facility, were given our job assignments, fitted for uniforms and spent several hours filling out the exorbitant amount of paperwork. But we both think we are really going to like it. That afternoon we headed into to town with our new friends Kristan and Liz!

It is 6:30a right now and we are starting to get ready for our day three.
Today's itinerary is obtaining our identification cards, setting up bank accounts and shopping at the PX and commissary. We are in desperate need of thicker blankets, clothes hangers and groceries.

Auf Wiedersehn!
